  1. Mn is a big place where are you looking . The guild of metalsmiths is a mn wi group with over 300 members.
  2. Cut some copper disks the same size as the nickels and you get the same as quarters. The outside if a quarter is the same as the whole nickel. 75% cooper 25% nickel

  4. You need to put it in some type acid or derive chloride to get the pattern to show anyway which should remove the flux
  5. Brian Brazeal showed a 6 sided hardy tool which allowed for a Sharp and rounded edge for near and far edge with a very slight movement
  6. Use a piece of flat bar that will fit corner to corner in the hardy hole. This alows you to weld and not have to grind away the weld to fit

  8. I have seen Gordon several times bring a comfortable chair as he starts early for a late and don't need breaks. Ussually has at least 2 pieces in fire at a time. You will see a weeks worth of work in a one day demo.

  14. I am 57 when I was a kid we used to play with mercury with our bare hands then eat grandmothers fried chicken with our unwashed hands. But then maybe that is why I am the way I am. they also used cyanide for case hardening into the 70s or later.
