  1. Watched a guy cast silver using dry cement mixed with 10 weight motor oil. The mixture was enough oil so when dumped onto.counter it kind of crawled down hill.
  2. Need as Much heat on opposite side as the side welded. The hot side is the short side.
  3. What do you use the rounded end of the anvil for. Have seen flat square posts knife makers used not never round tops.

  12. If you live in jay country take it to the local implement dealer that sells round bailers they will be able to splice your belt.
  13. Someone replied to another list that Don had helped teach a copper class the week before which ment he was active till the end which is the way to go. He was giving right up to the bitter end way to go our friend Don.
  14. Just heard Don Neuenswander from Indiana passes away yesterday. Don loved copper and is responsible for teaching countless individuals roycroft style copper and foldformimg. He will be missed.

  18. If you can find a company that mills road surfaces the cutters are shaped similarly they have a carbide tip that needs to be removed.
  19. Welcome. Ask around at a BAM or saltfork meeting for equipment. Although a great anvil is something we in the US think we have to have dome places use a goat skin and a rock to forge no what makes you happy and can afford.
  20. My 250 and Saymac are on oak the thickness you need bolted together the same size as base of hammer. My little giants I sit in front of to work.
