John McPherson
Personally, I don't think that is what is meant by the phrase "Killing them with kindness" but it would certainly leave an impression! Great execution, though.
Tubalcain2
Their swords will be beaten into plowshares and their knives to roses. maybe that's a misquote... nice job and a clever id.

Great execution, though. Thanks! These are my third and fourth Russian roses; every time I make one, I forget to incorporate the lessons I learned on the previous one. Also, the junction of the stems is a bit weak, as the steel turned out to be a bit less tough than I thought and cracked in the forging. 1 hour ago, Tubalcain2 said: Their swords will be beaten into plowshares and their knives to roses. maybe that's a misquote... nice job and a clever id. Well, I'd have to make a sword first, and I'm not quite ready for that!

ThomasPowers
I recall a chinese flanged mace where the flanges were the ideograms for "long life"---definitely a mixed message!

JHCC
Well, this is the decorative fork I gave her for her Sweet Sixteen, thirty-some years ago. It's substantially more pointy.

On the other hand, it does have the advantage of never withering.
