June 8, 20215 yr I customized it because it ain't that old. Double click image and it should enlarge.
June 8, 20215 yr That’s a pretty sweet setup I like how you got it set up kinda like a pallet so it’s easier to move around, also I like the military theme on the stand, what’s the round base made from? Also did you machine the lockdown nuts or were you able to find them? Lol sorry for all the questions You just got me thinking about doing something like that for one of my big vises.
June 8, 20215 yr The pallet is 1" plate with solid steel sleepers for fork lift moving. The round base is the solid castiron stand it came on when i got it. Don't know who made it. The acorns came from zoro and other online sites. When i got it.
June 16, 20215 yr Hey I found an 8" Fisher post vise for sale. Looks good in the pictures to me. Any idea what a decent price is in the Midwest for it? I was thinking like 350$.
June 17, 20215 yr If you can get that for 350, JUMP ON IT NOW. I would expect it to be 3x that. Steve
June 20, 20215 yr Not surprised. I confess my relief at not having to be jealous of you scoring such a good deal. Onward!
June 20, 20215 yr Just the pictures made me giddy. I'm really happy it's sold. I didn't have one chance in a million of buying it and surviving the wrath of Deb. Frosty The Lucky.
September 14, 20241 yr can’t remember the company name they told me, but it’s huge and they called it a ‘train’ vise… came from a rail yard maintenance shop.
