  2. the local ski hill opened up so I went with some friends last Friday M.J.Lampert ps. twistedwillow glad to hear everyone is ok crashes are sadly quite common in this area this time of the year as many people don't consider the constant changing condition of winter roads
  3. I use a old propane tank for my slack tub and often in the winter I spend a large amount of time chipping it out when I forget to dump it out at the end of the day
  4. we just finally warmed to a wonderful -19C after a few days of -35 to -45 lows and -30 to -25 highs hopefully the local ski hill can get started now that they have snow and warmer weather forecasted

  7. frosty we are doing bad here too, last few weeks have been just cold enough to make ice but little precipitation and this week is supposed to drop into the -30C range with minimal precipitation forecasted hopefully there will be enough to pull the snowmobile out and for the ski hills to open
  8. picked this nice brush up the other day for $free
  9. Jennifer I know this is old but if you take a slice off a fresh onion and rub the juice from that into a bee or wasp sting that reduces the pain and swelling quite well M.J.Lampert
  10. I know I'm coming to this conversation late, but I just got back after three months. My condolences to Foo and family. Thank you to all the admin and moderators who are choosing to keep this going M.J.Lampert
  11. well people it is official I am finished grade 11 as of now had a car-show in town Sunday got to take part in driving a car (the jag below). There was over half a dozen Model A's ranging from 1927 to 30 in both the coupe and 4 door versions all the way through to 2022 cameros and mustangs. well over 100 cars came from up to 500km away The crew I went with also had this 49 dodge coronet There was a large number of trans-am firebirds and Cameros but this one stuck out, one of five 1995 Cameros made for the rcmp decommissioned in 2002

  17. got this a last week for free, needs some fittings but otherwise good. Prior owner replaced it because it started to pump slower
  18. what is the name of the company everything i found in Canada and us was 200-400 dollars
  19. Billy I prefer coral mushrooms fried in butter with a little salt and butter, perfect as a side for grouse or ptarmigan strips. Picked fresh off the mountain is the best. my father enjoys morels but I haven't acquired a taste for them
  20. what ground wires I have dealt with up here where always bare copper
  21. Help, Help, I see concrete floors. All blacksmiths head for Rutland and cover this with tools and random saved items, we cant let mothers/partners ever see a a single clean shop M.J.Lampert PS looks wonderful when do you hope to have the school going by?
  22. that's the same, and then jumping jacks etc., no cheating with this as it shows on your face if you smell it
  23. we use them for fast repairs in the back country as on horse gear or packs they work great as long as you don't apply side pressure (breaks the needles) I noticed that this one I bought isn't set as deep in the wood as the older ones that my father owns (could just be years of use that pressed it in deeper)
  24. how nice, when I worked at a concrete plant they put a spray in the hood that almost makes one upchuck you had to do movements for 10 min and if you smell it at any time you have to reset and start again M.J.Lampert
  25. mail call, some leather supplies and belt material, as well as a speedy stitcher ( the best stitching device in my opinion for heavy materials) M.J.Lampert
