  1. Then you have a 4" bore cylinder. A lot of modifications have been made if this used to be a 50 ton press. At 2000 psi you can expect about 25,000 lbs. force. You should be ok with 5HP. You will still get the pressure and flow from your pump to handle anything you will be doing at home. EDIT. Cutting your HP in half is also going to cut you work load in half. You really need a hp per gpm to get full capacity.
  2. What do you want to know about it? This type cylinder almost never has identifying marks on them. Could have been made in a blacksmith shop for all we know. They don't have to meet NFPA standards.
  3. I hope she's doing well and recovers faster than me. I had my bowels worked on 9 weeks ago and am still trying to get over it. I will continue to pray for her.
  4. I'm praying for your Mom Charles. Hoping the surgery goes well and she has a quick recovery.
  5. Is it me or is the diamond on the wrong side of the anvil? I thought the horn should be pointing right.
  6. I still like the idea of fast when you need it and power when you get there. You still need to put the pressure gauge in.
  7. Get the gauge in there first. Yes, put it between the pump and control valve so you can see it while operating the valve.
  8. That still shouldn't cause it to do what it's doing. You really need a pressure gauge in the system. You can get a 3000 psi liquid filled gauge at tractor supply. Need to know what the pressures are during stroke and at end of stroke. Does the new pump have a built in relief? I think it is called an unloading valve. I bet the control valve has a relief also. You could be getting conflict between the two.
  9. Your tubing should be ok as long as it is at least the same size as the outlet of the pump. Do you have a gauge in the system? What are the pressures when working? Have you adjusted the relief valve. That is what determines what the system pressure is.
  10. I like this setup. Flooded inlet on the pump is good. Believe it or not, hydraulic pumps don't suck.
  11. The filter should not be on the suction side of the pump. Pressure filter on the pressure side or return filter on the return line to the tank. Never restrict flow to your pump. You'll burn it up.
  12. You guys are the best. I feel better already.
  13. We're getting down to the nitty gritty. I have to be at UAB at 5:00am tomorrow. Surgery could take 8-10 hours. In the hospital for a week. Recovery is 4-6 months. My nerves are shot. The anesthesia is going to be a blessing. I just want to wake up and it be over. I need your prayers more than ever tomorrow. Thanks everyone.
  14. I was talking about my beard but you're not too far off. They are removing my bladder and making me a new one.
  15. I had a huge beard until a couple weeks ago. In and out of doctors offices and hospitals having to wear masks because of the pandemic. Figured it would be a little safer to cut it off. Having major surgery Friday but after that, I'm growing it back.
  16. I find these stones in my cooking charcoal all the time. I just figured it was part of the lining from the retort the charcoal was made in. If you're serious about making your own charcoal, look into making it from pine. That's the best charcoal I've used to date.
  17. Hey Randy, I need the specs on that Ozark hoe. I can see how the blade is made but what is that attaching it to the handle. Is that flattened allthread? I have some of the rockiest soil you ever saw. Rocks the size of baking potatoes.
  18. I hate to hear this. I will be praying for you and your family ThomasPowers. May GOD be with you.
  19. I hope he's on the mend now. Prayers sent.
  20. Just saw this TP. I hope she's already doing better but saying a prayer anyway.
  21. Keep praying guys. Path report was not good. I will be going back in on June 12 for cystectomy. Good news is they can reconstruct a new bladder. Bad news is its a long recovery. I don't scare easily but this one has me worried. Prayers and friends help so say one for me.
