MOD NOTE: The language of the last two comments, while technically not in violation of the IFI ban on cursing, was inappropriate for this forum. Keep it polite, or this thread will be locked.
stevomiller, the “garbage” referred to was the excess quoting by Kane, not the content of your comment. I’ve edited the mod remark to reflect that. The spam was part of Kane’s subsequent comment.
MOD NOTE: Thank you all for keeping this discussion confined to information about the anvil and general marketing advice. If the OP wishes to actually list this anvil for sale here on IFI, he should post it in the tailgating section and follow the rules posted there.
As fascinating a discussion as this might be, it’s getting pretty close to the kind of political content that is forbidden by the IFI TOS. Let’s get back on track.
CAUTION: This thread is getting very close to turning into a political discussion, which is forbidden under forum TOS. Let’s bring it back to blacksmithing.
Mod Note: JHCC has started a new thread about his new forge at https://www.iforgeiron.com/topic/55407-new-side-blast-with-water-tuyere-bosh-pic-heavy/. Please continue further discussion of that forge there. Thank you.
The following was split out of an "Introduce Yourself" post from Buick455guyy:
I picked up an anvil from an older lady I did some work for and I'm having trouble finding really anything out about it so I thought maybe you guys could Lend a helping hand. From what I can tell there isn't a pat. Date or any other markings that I can make out. There is however a few numbers stamped on the feet, I'll attach some pictures and would greatly appreciate any help identifying it.
MOD NOTE: This thread started well enough, but has now veered too far into a political discussion, in violation of the TOS. It is now locked to further comments.
Mod note: Iforgeiron does not permit political content. Keep this discussion apolitical, or the thread will be locked.
Apologies for not attending to this sooner.
