I have 33lber its used daily,for a little hammer their a work horse,but need a little warm up time,if I'm going to use the hammer and she cold I give the hammer about 15min warm up time,by doing that she hits hard right from the start.I use 30wt oil yr round and it does get cold here in B.C Can, the idea of 10wt is a good idea,.........happy hammering .........cheers

  6. i use Hansel hammers 2lb,3lb and anther hammer i call the hand of God strait peen just under 2lb those are my favs and after that i use any hammer with in reach...............cheers
  7. Great score,cool wife,by the look of things you have it apart,before you took it apart was the vise opening and closing,if so the spring is fine,for me if the vise works,knock the dirt, crud and rust off , oil and grease it mount on a stump what ever and start bending steal.......Cheers

  10. a little busy for my liking.try not to schetch,but to draw using your whole arm,a good warm up is draw alot of free hand circles.good luck

I here you brother, i to have been in simalar situation ,year round long line fisherman,stay at home wife,taking care of childern and the farm and then i was in a bad motercycle wreck dislocation of my neck 50%and 26 other bones brocken,4 months in the hosipital and then all that recovery.all we all have differnt paths,hills and corner.i pray your next corner is the you been waiting for.Best regards DAVE

  16. Clinton are you running just a power hammer off the line shaft or do you have other tools on the line.In the near future i have plans to put line shaft in my shop as well,#50 canadian giant,power hack saw,and grinder.The best of luck.......regards Dave

DennisG.......I believe Sparwood is on the B.C Alberta border Kicking horse Hwy.I drove by the mine on a road trip to Drumheller.Steveh and i went halfers on a ton of coal from thak in Ontario and i believe its the pocahontis coal ,their 70# bags deliverd to Vancouver island just under fifty dollars Can ,very good coal and i bought anther ton of coal from our local mine over a ton as much as i could put in my truck $161. taxes in,that coal i burn in my forge daily and save the expensive coal for the special projects.Regards Dave
