  4. I bought one of the older 1970's Mankels, 95# for $100 in perfect condition. Nice looking anvil with a wide horn and wider face then most farrier anvils I have had. Nice ring and rebound from what I can remember of it.
  5. Well they are going up on ebay this week, I guess Ill let everyone else out there decide what they want to us them for as well.
  6. Are there numbers on the front left of the foot? Also is there a number on that first pic. you posted of the handling hole? Also what does the underside of the anvil look like? Looks to me like a Hay Budden
  7. Just did a search for blacksmith bob and cup, nothing comes up. Do you know what they are used for? I was told by one person it was a countersink, and also was told it is used to put dimples on metal. Do they go together or seperate?
  8. Cleaned up all my hardies and a 146# PW, and these are the ones I do not know what they are, or used for. Any help from the blacksmiths out there would be great. Please refer to them by the number when replying so I know what one you are talking about. All of the pictures can be seen at: Photos 1, 2, 3, 4 cbl4823 - ANY IDEAS?
  9. Is this the anvil you paid just under $2 a lb for, and had to drive 2 1/2 hours for?
  10. Ironic that this post just came up. I just started planning the creation of my giant anvil. Im thinking 8 feet long, 3.75 feet high, and 3 feet wide feet. Still working out some of the possible ideas. Here are some other pics of giant anvils I was looking at today to get some inspiration.
