  4. i like it my gig is a spear type i diddent forge it but it is just a 3 point hand held garden pitch fork on a 6 foot shaft with a surgical rubber loop oppsite the head so self launching it works
  5. rich it will be put to work hollow grinding knives most of the time
  6. for those who dont know what i am talking about hears a link Coote Belt Grinder any info or suggetions of other grinders would be useful to make a good decision

  10. agreed with above foundation first or bad things will happen more often than not i have a freind who teaches at a mixed martial arts studio an they had a student who on his first day picked up a bow staff swng it around to show off and ended up wacking himself across the back of the head and neck and he was out for a few hours now think if that was a metal staff he would be gone:o(well if he could swing it)

  15. i second that zinc is likely one of the most harmful things you will confront in day to day activitys be safe and keep it out of the fire

  17. no they are mad out of cast steel witch has a lower carbon content than cast iron so they are not as britle
  18. thanks for all the help i finaly got one to stick and it bends with the metal when vice tested the problem seamed to be the metal thank you
