  4. richard ya planing on makeing a line of 30# sledges or gona swing it the size of that is massive i have seen them in lumber mills for driveing large wedges breaking up molds in a foundry and mineing for use being dropped on a star drill to hasten work
  5. i got a forge like that just put somr small holes in the ends of the forming cracks put the blower on with new hardware clean off the workings and the linkage is what catches on mine when the handle is hard to push
  6. get out the chisels and go at it hot so as to not risk damageing the blade make chisles in common curves and shapes you use in the runes it will make it go faster
  7. put some borax on it het orange almoast molten tet with a pice of copper and ee if it sticks and push it together and ya have copper bar insted of wire same idea as cable rope excapt it just melts and keep the brass out for now ya not doin makume gan yet
  8. go to the wreched antique scalper or mabe they are nice to you and get or look at old medicine crates or milk boxes they have a grid of boxes nd tipicaly hold tools well

  10. indicate the temp as color on the bar make the hammer so ua can hit too hard and find some one in ya areia to let ya watch and ask questions oh and light level in the room determines the color brightness id recomend useing a gas forge in the game for simplicity ya have to manage the preshure and wach propane levels but it would simplify youre life alot (fewer varibles than a solid furl forge) in smithing ya can get hurt ad in scale and make them chose the tongs it will let the metal fly off and get lose every so often make them make their own tools or buy some start off with a campfire a rock and a hammer and let it grow from there ya will be suprised by how complex this can get fast

  14. i like 5 minute epoxy because it gives you some time to play with it and get it the way you like but it also cures in a short enugh time that you can watch it and make shure it dose not move around it usuaily takes me a few hours for a small knife and a week or more for a big blade beyond 10"
  15. id say dress the edge wire brush it soak the head an first bit of handle for a bit than put it to use as a cold cut it is probably not the right kind of steel to be made into a hot cut
  16. "$49.95 mower " i dont think they sellem that cheep any more and the carbon content and alloying are a real crap shoot with every one
  17. its nice the top is a bit bare but it looks fineto me
  18. handle is brass with a blood wood spacer and purpleheart gripit is un finnished at this point
  19. go see a doc NOW and dont risk it we all appreciate your input and would like to enjoy it for many years to come and who dose not like a cold glass of milk but it wont cure zinc poisoning or any other type of heavy metal poisoning
