Ausfire, you are sharp. The Smithy stands within the village under a spreading chestnut tree. The Smith with large and sinewy hands works within the Smithy, week in, week out from morn till night.

I don't think she's spoiled at all. I would love to sit and watch her bring all her toys down from the hearth and place them out in the middle of the room, each one in a very special place I'm sure.

Firestarter, Three-piece balls have a core center, a rubber covering of the core and a final coating. The rubber covering may be rubber string wrapped around the core. I don't know that they will explode when drilled, perhaps if you remove the final coating.

I am not a big fella but I do have large hands and really prefer a used 10 pin bowling ball for my file handles, plus the finger holes give me the extra control I find necessary when I am working on finer projects like pendants.

ausfire, the crane hooks are handy indeed. They are so representative of a birds upright posture. I was really trying to animate the little guy thus the flapping wings. Quit fun to make and instructional.

Yes, green and brown on the outside yellow on the inside. We raise almost all our own food (meat and vegetable) and sell beef and dozens of dozens of eggs. Can't beat farm fresh IMO.

Hey Das, he is feisty, looks just like our flesh and blood bantam rooster. Hard to clean, I fancy letting him rust. How did your rabbit turn out (the finish)?

Frosty, my guess is that the TV program Gunsmoke was depicting Dodge City Kansas prior to the organization of Ford County and the incorporation of Dodge City, so there would be no sheriff only a U.S. Marshal appointed to that region of the frontier.
