  6. That's funny Das. Truth of the matter is, I be just one person in the shop. I want some photos of myself working. I have children and grandchildren who I rarely see. No one to take photos equals no photos to send, thus the trail cam. Any thoughts????

  13. arkie, if your spear is a C2-49 then; All spears are made of silicon manganese spring steel. Each spear is roll forged, heat-treated, hardened and tempered with a nominal hardness of 45/49HRC.   15. bigb I use the welding tip then lock the hand piece down in the vise, using two pair of needle nose pliers, hold heat bend.

  19. CT.....I wire brush after each weld seems to help me in the end if I keep them clean. bigb......give those concrete nails a try, post here, I would like to see the outcome.
  20. Congrats CT. Funny how folks (just like us) get a real kick out of identifying the various objects that make up the piece.

Das, the horseshoe nails do lend themselves well however until the figures are "animated" they are nothing more than stick figures . ausfire, I can accept no praise for the cleverness of the use of horseshoe nails, that belongs to someone else. I gas weld them to one another. Animating them is the fun part. Tubalcain2 hahaha, I have considered clothing some of them, but................
  22. With autumn in full swing I have more time to spend in the shop.
