I get good results with P-nut oil. I get the metal to a dull red heat and quench. Be careful, it will flare up. I have also used clear spray on polyurethane The hotter the metal, the darker the finish. Please post some pics. We would like to see how things work out. Mitch

This is really nice! What size stock did you start with and I assume you used a power hammer? What was it used on? Mitch -
I finally got around to taking a picture of my touchmark. I had three sizes made. 5/16 wide, 7/16 wide and 5/8 wide. It's just my initials inside an oval. Not very imaginative, I know, but it's mine. Mitch -
