  10. The reason Copper is so “Universal” is Copper – “Cu” is a natural element, a natural metal, and it has a vast amount of special qualities. It has a very high conductivity; it is malleable, and ductile. Copper has what is known as microstructure – meaning a metal with Crystalline when in a solid form. The crystal structure of a solid metal refers to the internal structure or arrangement of the atoms in an ordered, repeating, three-dimensional pattern. It is the Structure of the atoms in copper that gives it the ability to blend with so many other metals to create copper-alloys . to put it in a very simple term it is the very small grain structure that expands and allows the other metal atoms into the copper and blend well with most all metals . 11. Tig use soapstone to mark where you are looking at adding it to your forge. even though I would reset the three (3) burners evenly spaced myself ()---()---() like such and patch the old holes . the forge would run better and optimal forging temp would be obtained very fast and efficiently if you did it this way . IMHO Sam
  12. Cool lil tree now put some Blue bottles on it and it is done . Sam
  13. This what I use http://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/stock-work-finishing/stock-bedding-adhesives/acraglas-gel-reg--prod1038.aspx Sam

  15. Brian , Good welds I knew you could do it and you proved my point that the Lil Welder and someone that knows how to use it can in-fact weld 1/2 plate with a lil instruction. Good work Brother . Sam
  16. Your Welds Are Fine prep the 1/2 plate with a bevel and sew the thing up and start Forging Steel . Sam
  17. Murfreesboro TN is not fare from me at all Sam
  18. It will work fine .025 wire just means you will have to make more passes on the plate Gas is the way to go with your unit I have .030 on mine W/25 % /75% Mix I prep (Bevel) 1/2 plat all the time and weld it up even on Structural Stuff If you can weld with that unit (you have not shown any photos ) then you can weld a simple Fire pot . debating the issue is more of a personal preference of one's ability then the ability of the Machine that does nothing unless turned on by a welder and used . it will do the job very proficiently. Sam
