  1. It's funny how everyone has a "dirty" shop, but is organized and when you clean it, you can't find anything. When I clean my shop I find production or efficiency increses, where as when I have a dirty shop, I have to dig to get items when I need them, because they are buried under tools.
  2. Sorry, but how does everyone figure out the age? I have never understood when you all just take the serial number and "pop" there's the date. Lol.
  3. I just sent an anvil down to texas that was cut in half. Now that's abuse. The bottom of it was missing, it was a trenton, and if in one piece, I would have kept it, it would have been around 200lbs.
  4. I can't answer your question, but Ellis Custom Knifeworks has some really good bricks and liners and coatings for gas forges. Check them out.
  5. Lol, tell her that if she makes a garden, you'll help her and then use the anvil to help decorate the house and garden, as well as tools for the garden. Or have one of your children help there mom make a garden. :)
  6. My cast brake drum works real good, but when I have a welder and a cutting torch, I am going to fab my own up one of these days.
  7. Lol, the mouse nest. When he said it the first time, I thought he said he fired a mouse across the yard. However some of those industrial blowers that used in factories for venting could prolly easily blow me across the yard. Lol.
  8. I would by all means weld the face back with hard facing rod if you can and if you have the materials accessible for cheap.
  9. The friendship knot it pretty cool, the cross, nails, leaves, etc. People love watching artistic and useful things be made quickly. Average adult attention span is 15-30 minutes. Hence the commercial every 15 minutes. I'm not saying that is everyone's, just the average.
  10. Those are those cathedral anvils, real nice. Nice cbl4823. You have to have money to be an anvil collector. Or just be Mike who seems to trip over them everywhere.
  11. I have never used corn, but charcoal works great, but it burns up really fast. I now only use coal.

  14. Lol, tell her it's to make here some lovely garden euqipment or flowers. If she still buys it. Lol.
  15. I use a mighty electric Champion 400 blower, I could power at least 4 smiths at welding heat with it. I have to barely crack the air gate to get welding heats I started with a hair dryer. Worked real good.
  16. Looking at it, one i have to say it's upside down, two, it's like a church anvil, and its like $500 US. BUY it. if that was here it be around probably a grand. 500 Euros
