Judson Yaggy
Steam hammer missing the anvil and some other parts means it's worth close to scrap price, sadly. The Scranton mechanical in the background is intriguing though!

BIGGUNDOCTOR
Replace the steam cylinder with a hydraulic ram, and make a hydraulic forging press. Or mount a hydraulic pavement breaker to the ram. Make a guided helve out of it? .....
jason0012
How do they always loose the anvil??????
ThomasPowers
Because it doesn't "look important" and so gets left outside because "nobody could steal that large a hunk..." Some 2 legged rats love a challenge.
Salem Straub
Having rescued a 300 lb. hammer myself, modified dies from another disparate hammer and machined a large sow block to fit it, that's a LOT of work and anything over scrap price is probably optimistic for this beast. That said, I'd probably be over there looking at it if it was within my home state here.
