July 4, 20188 yr Very nicely shop entrance you have there. The aroma of flowers overpowers the smell of coal smoke.
July 4, 20188 yr WOW! Monet would feel right at home there! I bet you have lots of bees and hummingbirds!
July 4, 20188 yr "A short way that takes a long time". LOVE the subtle poetic way of phrasing. So russian And a beautifull garden!

July 4, 20188 yr My wife would have loved your gardens [as do I!], she was the green-thumber at our place. Her gardens, and most of the yard except the mowing, is slowly deteriorating. I don't have time for both, so the smithy wins, no contest at all. Truly beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pics Dave
July 5, 20188 yr I hear that ash is a good fertilizer (I wonder about scale). This would make a nice synergy between the forge and it's garden.

July 11, 20188 yr Coal ash and clinker are lousy for agricultural use (given potential heavy metal residue), but decent for lining pathways (away from food crops). Wood ash can be useful for calcium deficiency. Biochar (charcoal dust) can be quite good for loosening up heavy clay soil and promoting beneficial soil organisms.
July 11, 20188 yr And beautiful gardens Alexandr! Sure thing, bigfoot. It's one of the unique treats of the Americas. When they come over for a visit, my English relatives love to watch the hummingbirds, as they don't have them.
