Les Stroud cooked and ate one on a desert episode of his Survivorman show.  He said it was the most vile thing he had ever eaten...and that says a lot coming from him.  If I remember correctly it wasn't near his first time eating it, he was prepared and still revolted.

The last time I hosted a barbecue, I asked if anyone wanted to try bugs.

I got crickets.

More like one of the two products chickens make, hint it isn't eggs.

Being an American the idea of eating the creepy crawlies is revolting, but I was given the "opportunity" to sample them. Some were not horrible, and I imagine I could with some grace eat them at the table of some of our brothers and sisters from around the world, but I won't be adding them to my regular diet anytime soon

Scorpions taste like feathers? Wow, who'd a thunk it!

Now you are mixing 2 songs from 1776: "Sit down John!" and "If I'm the one to do it they'll run their quill pens through it!"

I'm trying to think of a sufficiently stinging barb.

I'll be waiting your nibs.

Ask Frosty: he's our fountain of wisdom.

I love the migration from materials to scavenge for tools, to deep fired Acrididae snacks. Classic!

and yes, fried grasshoppers are rather tasty. Had them in South Africa a few years back.
