JME1149
This is my second rose. I wanted to try something a little different than cutting the petals out of sheet copper and wondered how small I could go and still get a decent result. I started out with four pennies, flattened, traced a scaled down pattern and went to work. I think there are things I could have done a little better, but overall am pleased with the results. You can't much cheaper than four cents and a piece of ground wire. Hope you enjoy.

Charlotte
Love the ingenuity; The only problem I see is that current issue of us pennies is mostly zinc. wonder what years you used?
Michael Cochran
Pennies from 1981 and earlier were copper and some from 1982 were copper some were made using the new zinc alloy.
ausfire
Our old Australian pennies (pre 1966) were quite large and would make brilliant petals. Nice idea. It's in the inspirations file!

ianinsa
Nice Rose! What's the reason for the high value on 1930 pennies?

I have a 1934 penny which is worth about one penny
