ThomasPowers
I will beat out a rhythm that Emmert Studebaker taught me using a light ballpeen on a hard faced anvil---it uses the rebound to get a fast percussive beat.

Mark Ling
Well, it isn't really a new year tradition (I guess though it may end up being one) but my cousin and I today made some key chains with a bit of a new years theme. Made cold from 3/16 round that had its past life rapped around rebar. The little divets were made using a top fuller that I had recently made with a friend, and the numbers were made using a #/letter punch set I got for Christmas. Unfortunately I only have a picture of one that we made. In my opinions the other ones were better. Littleblacksmith
MonkeyForge
Making stuff sounds attractive, I might introduce it next year for now just me, my girlfriend and the cats waiting for the year to pass. Not sure about the cats though.
