I am thinking I will get funny looks today when I go to the metal supplier and I ask them to load the stock in my rocket.
No fun having 10ft stock sticking out the window on the way home. I got a new roof rack and threw this together so I don't have to bundle everything.

Great idea.

It reminds me of the fellow that got a couple of rocket shaped helium balloons and tied the a long string to the bumper of his car. As he drove the rockets followed LOL

I know a guy who has a PVC tube strapped to the lower side of a Gold Wing motorcyle to carry a Brown Bess musket to reenactments. I'll have to suggest the fins and nose cone to him.

I'd say that Alaskans are more ammused than shaken up. Imagine driving that rig through California.

Ahh slap a few radiation trefoils on it and you could get a free trip to Cuba in no time!

(decades ago there was an incident where someone was tailgating my van as I was hauling my falconette home from an event. They did back off when the rear doors flew open and there was a cannon pointing at them with a lit fuse in the touch hole---ahh to be young and stupid again!)

Love the cannon story.I would have backed off as well!
The snow is at the end of my driveway, we had +11' this year so they ran out of places to stack it. My yard has two big piles that looks like a bare butt mooning me when i look out the window. Man I need spring to melt it...

I'm thinking a Marvin the Martin doll with a lit lighter sitting next to it would be a nice visual.
That came together nicely Tristan.

Thanks for the laugh! As soon as I opened your pic I actually did laugh out loud. Over the top. Ingenious. Logical. I forgot how funny and creative you folks can be.

I've never explored this section of the forum before. I usually lurk in the Bladesmithing section. Very interesting topics here!

Is road rage even an issue up there? I wasn't old enough to drive when I lived in Alaska, but as a passenger, I never saw an angry, aggressive driver. People were pretty laid back.

Not so much aggressive as stupid. Some of the guys that commute in from the valley tend to drive way too fast for conditions. literally 80 and 90 mph on solid packed ice and snow.

Just don't be suprised is the Feds don't come knocking at your door.

Never had a problem there. everyday I drive right by the state FBI offices and no one even bats an eye.
I even went out to the airport to pick up a package and the cops don't mind at all.
Mostly just thumbs ups and smiles.
