Great use of recycled metal. It is a big focus point for people to remember, guess what it is made from. We watched a group of people do just that recently. Tales of their past triggered by parts they know. It was also the winner on the day for that reason I think. Well done

You are welcome, and thanks for looking at my post Daswulf Coolis good, thanks anvil M3F, glad you like my work, thanks Thanks Frosty, I try hard to capture the essence or life of the animal, and movement. Makes them real for me when this happens. The monotreme (mother and puggle), took so long, each spine being shaped. Love the little puggle, he is nearly saying “where are we going mum?” Haha. thanks Frosty, appreciate the comment

Lary, that is such a lovely thing to say. I spend a lot of time trying to get that moment when they go from being a sculpture to where I can actually feel them come alive. No idle hands here. And thankyou Scott, thanks my friend, We all improve with practice and for me patience and persistence. Sometimes I bet bogged in the detail, but they are beautiful and happy with them. You picked my favourites to in those ones. Love Atlas and the snake. Thank you

Hi Everyone, I haven’t been around for a while, busy on farm but thought I would show my recent sculptures. Any moment of free time I try and get to the shed to get them done. Snake and Goanna where for my husband’s Christmas presents. The horses have helped me develop more muscle and the illusion of what they are. Horses! Hope you enjoy them, and hope you all had a great Christmas and will have a great year

I love Jeff Foxworthy, saw him in the States. Very good sense of humor, all makes sense to me. I particularly like the skit he does on cats!! “I love cats” he says, women in audience cheer,, Jeff says “ I have 2 cats, either side of my fireplace””.. I laughed so much, .. nice to know others have heard of him.. my favourite comedian Thanks ROJO -

Frosty understand that totally.. We have the same issues here with a few macropods here.. Nodebt, yes why not try one out... I enjoyed the echidna's, spines and all... ThomasPowers, yes porcupines have been used as a food source.. They are defenceless against us hungry humans... -

Thanks my friend. The Armadillo lizard was a test to myself, by making something less complex. Easier said than done for me, but happy with the way he turned out. Appreciate comment That would be Correct. That is a Quokka’s face, and he seems to follow you around the room. I took a lot of time to get the face right! Think I added a bit to much of myself lol!!! Got it in one, cigar for you!!! See the little comment about him on Irondragon reply. The crow is a solid bird, and the caw makes him more so. I wish I had made space for the sensor inside him, hard tohide. I have a short video somewhere, will post next time. Thanks -

George N M, these have become the signature of my work. Everone has something that makes up a majority of their sculptures, these are my signature. -

Hi All, been a while since I posted. Covidhas kept us on farm, so I have been building a few animals in the past 16 months. we have been in full lockdown or partial for a very long time now. But, some good things have come out of it. PS: I hope youare all well Enjoy

Thanks D.C. I was thinking the same thing. Pity the stamping is a bit haphazard. Nice to have an anvil with at least a good face and edge. My old girl I got years ago, had no heel, hardy etc.. all edges were damaged except the horn so has been a challenge to do some things. Very happy with this girl

I recently purchased a Soderfors anvil, 200lb made in Sweden. Stamped with 1923.. There is another stamp under the 200lb impression but cannot read it.. Starts with a D***** Can't wait to put it to use.. One side of the face has some damage, but otherwise in good condition. Now to clean it up and oil it

Another excellent sculpture Aus... as for eating one, if you can catch one without it killing you, you would be doing well. Helped a fauna park try to move a male into the females enclosure. It kicked apart a steel gate made of 2inch gauge solid steel square bar. Then tried to kill the female... Dangerous animals when they want to be
