  11. I used two sheets of 1/4 , it was easier to move and cheaper then one 1/2 inch, beats me why. Maby it was based on what they had in the yard i dont know but it has worked out well.

I tottaly agree with learning to do it your self , what i was reffering to is our local trade school offered a night class for adults to learn how to weld. the best part is they let you work on your own projects. A couple guys in the local car club did it. .Kill two birds with one stone
  13. The cost of a new tip the rite size for your torch plus the amount of gas you will burn are going to make those parts pretty exspensive. I would see if your local high school offers a night class , I know some do. Heck if you lived close buy you could weldem up in my shop. Good luck on what ever you decide.

  21. It was made by standard machine in auburn RI. screw may be a little slow but i will have fun figureing out things to do with it. I got a heater from napa meant to go on a car oilpan its magnetic and thermostat controlled so it only comes on when needed you could get metal bucket or slip a piece of sheet metal in bucket so heater is on out side. was cheap . they also have heaters for car batteries you could attach rite to plastic bucket. just some more ideas for you
