  1. Im new to using these type presses, what is the best lead for forging
  2. It was made by standard machine in auburn RI. screw may be a little slow but i will have fun figureing out things to do with it. Table size: 22" x 14" Throat: 7-1/2" Full stroke: approximately 11" Stroke per one revolution: 1-3/4" Shut height: 1-3/4" Hole in bed: 9-1/2" x 3-1/2" Bore in ram: 1-1/2" Wheel diameter: 48" Overall size: 39" x 36" x 75" high crane said it weighs 2800

I got a heater from napa meant to go on a car oilpan its magnetic and thermostat controlled so it only comes on when needed you could get metal bucket or slip a piece of sheet metal in bucket so heater is on out side. was cheap . they also have heaters for car batteries you could attach rite to plastic bucket. just some more ideas for you

  6. I would definitely buy them at that price. If you cant use them you can always swap or sell, I was at a used machinery dealer here in new england recently and they had a couple just like you decribed ,differance is they called theres antiques and wanted over 3000 a piece. Just food for thought
