  7. 6011-may want to run 6010-it seams to deal with a little higher carbon content-but for good weld i recommend 7018 w/ mild stringer
  8. well, can-not good but for letter openers, or handles. but great conversation pieces-h-c are better but not enough carbon for a working knife,my openion but nothing is agin the law lest ya get caught.

  10. on spacific waight- fresh water weights 8.34 ppg-saturated brine weights appx. 14 ppg-so you can add about 5 1/2 # of salt to 1 gallon of water. as a compareson sea water is about 9.4 ppg
  11. Hey PTS-just what i have gatherd-you need old files- the new ones are made diffrent,i think only the surface/ teeth are hard-middle is soft.I could be wrong on this though. jimmy

  14. Bobb-that the cheater pipe rule-every foot out is x weight applyed-say-200# at i foot = 200# @ 4 foot = 800# etc.. so pulling 1000# at 8 feet will require your mount to be able to handle 8000# min- then ya need to figure in a good safety factor like 70-80% to be on the safe side

  19. looks like a connecting rod from a Harley-except that on one rod it has 2 outside journals and the other has one that fits between the two on the crank-so it will have to be a split crank engine-haven't been in any others like that.
