  1. "Going like the clappers" The clappers are the wooden valves in bellows
  2. I had to get it out of an old barn full of rats and fleas, the rats and filled up the inside of the hollow part with hay and rag, I had to borrow my friends waggon to pull the trailer but it had been sitting for a very long time and got stuck in low range and then the transfer cace got stuck in neutral and then it wouldn't go up a big hill because the airfilter was totally plugged but got home in the end
  3. Got this old drill press in a local auction, it was a bit sad, its an Arrel made in england, the quill had a few teeth broken off it because a bolt head jammed into them witch had fallen in, next I will get flatbelts made and it should be good, motor works well but is 3 phase so I will get a VFD, they work well, the part of the world I am in I have 240v in every room of the house.
  4. My hammer will get oil on the brake easy when it runs out of the shaft, I have to give it a wipe every 30 mins before it reaches the brake, when I am finished with it I jam a rag where the drip comes from, brake cleaner is good for getting the oil off the asbestos
  5. A guy who replaces the bricks at the crematorium offered me a drum full of knee and hip replacements and pins and plates that were dug out if the ash pit.

  10. I have not been able to get this welder to work, the AC motor is about 3kw or more, my 11KW VFD will run it but as soon as you strike an arc the VFD shuts down. The rotory phase converter just stalls when an arc is struck, super annoying as I allways wanted a lincoln DC welder, I was thinking about converting it to run off a petrol engine.
  11. Had to escape to the wife's folks place in japan.
  12. Finally got new half nuts feed, its an Atlas long bed made for the export market outside the usa.
  13. I got given a whole lot of titanium bar the other day, not sure what to do with it
  14. Good the rod worked out, we had an aftermarket crank pin fail the other day, got another made and it was 2.5K NZD, bike should have been at the pukehoe festival.
  15. Bet no one knows where I am lol
  16. I would need a certificate if I did fit a roll bar and seatbelts to show the work is upto standard and I have the original hood irons and canvas top witch is now fitted.
  17. By law I can't fit rollbars or seat belts. It does over 70MPH, National park still shut to tourists and non residents which is good, roads are empty, beach is empty, the law prevents me from peddling anything I make around here to unless its through the gallery
  18. Locals have dug this out with diggers, there is a 300ft drop now
  19. That is the problem, people dont want to get there brand new tessla dirty when I am drifting round dirt roads in a car worth more than a brand new one.
  20. I have been riding the motorcycle but I can get the car out now.
  21. I was joking a bit but they do make it look good for tourists, I live in a very pore area, a friend of mine moved here from Texas and thinks its a bit of an lol, The good things is we have a social welfare system and hospitals are free, I am getting money from being trapped by the cyclone but the council can't afford to fix the road
  22. You probably wouldn't like to live here, its the Detroit of the south pacific
  23. Talking about eruptions, some of the mountain are about 800 years overdue for an eruption, we have been getting a few earthquakes, we are on the same faultline as Japan.
  24. Lucky I got a generator 2 years ago, its made life so easy as we get a powercut probably every month for 24 hours sometimes, I need to keep the fridge cold and the water pump lights going. I have lived here for almost 30 years but in the last 7 it has been very hard with storms.
