  5. heres that old 1919 Fairbanks Morse Z motor i got , it runs like a champ !before the show season im going to clean it up some and do some tuch up paint and a fue other small things...theres a Hit and Miss Conversion for it i might do as its a throttle governing motor now..
  6. im in the middle of that now... money is going to be the problem..but is it not for all things ?
  7. i just went over there and yes that is what im looking at doing , what about the hammer weight ? they dont look to be a big size ... i have a motor out of a washer i could use , there like 3/4 horse though i think... i see now there classified by hammer size ... so if i have a 20 pound hammer size its a 20 pound hammer... ok so what size can i make it with the 140 pound anvil...
  8. i know i have most all the stuff to weld up a power or treadle hammer , the base anvil is solid steel at 140 pounds , the frame is i-beem and square stock scrap i have, i got a truck spring for the top and all the other bits... the one thing i dont know is about the hammer , does it need to weigh a certen pounds ? or is it going to depend on if its power or treadle ? and on that note , what should it be ? im not shure ? would like to use it to help punch and fuller and some light drawing out. i only have 110 out in the shop though so if its power thats what i got...
  9. A Hood with a 10 in pipe will NOT work! Save your time and money I'm telling you I just went through this. Mine just barely works ,hood closed both sides 16 or so inch front with straight 12 inch pipe 3 foot over roof line...
  10. Do 2 side draft hoods, if I wasn't going for looks with my hood I would smash it and do a side draft, or a straight 12 in. Pipe right over the pots straight out the top. Look around on here lots of info..
  11. It's cast out of foam? It's light weight.. very detailed.. big piece, a foot long 10 inches tall.. it's in the middle of the wife's china cabinet..lol
