  2. OK Thomas. Ya got me screwed up and confused, which ain't hard to do!! But what does IRRC stand for? Sorry I ain't edgycated to some pooter language. :)
  3. You do good work, Randy. Nice looking gate and pineapple. I'm sure that the customer was pleased. Thanks for sharing the pics. :)
  4. Don, do you have a metal table, ie. a welding table? You can make a simple jig by marking your desired arc on the table and weld some short stubs standing up, on the inside of the arc. heat the piece and clamp it to the end upright and bend around. Heat the next section and continue until you have the complete piece curved. I have done this several times and it works out pretty well. Hope this helps. :)
  5. I use a copper sprinkle cup both in my shop and with my demo tools. I used 3" of 2" ridged copper pipe. Soldered a copper cap on one end and closed half of the open end with sheet copper soldered on. Drilled a few dribble holes in the end. Then I used about 20" of 1/2" ridged copper pipe for the handle, also soldered on. I've used them for years with no problems. As for sheet copper, go to Lowes, Menards, Home Depot, etc and buy a roll of copper roof flashing. I use it for candle cups and even had a couple of guys ordered copper ladles. Hope this helps. :)
  6. One question. What did you use for the finish?
  7. Way to go, Dave!! Again, a very well thought out project and a very good job. That piece should bring in some orders. Thanks for sharing it with us. Keep up the great work. :)
  8. Nice work. You did a good job on them. About the feet, how............Never mind. I won't go there:D
  9. That looks good, to me. Nice S-hook. See, I can even tell what it is. LOL. Glad to see that you started pounding metal. Be careful, though. The addiction will get hold of ya. Thanks for sharing the pic. Congrats on joining the WRABA. You're on your way now!! :)
  10. Edit your profile to include your location. It's always nice to be able to tell where folks on the site are from. Can't help on the straight razor question, though. Sorry. :)
  11. Hayden, I keep a cutoff wheel on one of mine and a flap disc on the other, all the time. If I do need a hard grinding wheel, I just change one out. When I'm done, I put the wheel that I had taken off, back on. Works great!! :)
  12. WOW!!! What a deal!! I hope that he didn't find some sucker that didn't know any better.
  13. I'm still considering your offer on the cannons, Steve. :D
  14. I've got two Metabos and love them. I tried some cheapos, but the don't last long. :)
  15. Yeah, Chad. I spent about 2 1/2 hrs with him. It was a lot of fun. I really needed some down time. :D
  16. I was talking with an older fellow (75 yrs old) the other day and he mentioned that he had a couple of old anvils. He told me to come by his place and take a look at them, sometime. Well, I took the time, this morning. This man has a hobby of collecting old oil cans, old pinball machines and many many other things, that I can't even remember. Anyway, he took me out to see the old anvil that was his GREAT Grandfather's. It has stayed in the family and he is going to pass it down to his son. I was really glad to hear that, since it had been kept in the family this long. He said that he didn't think it had anything stamped on it at all. Well, we got to looking and I found Peter Wright Patented stamped on the side. Then i found 1 1 5 (145 lbs) Stamped lower down the side. He couldn't believe that I had found a name and weight on it. The anvil has some edge damage along the face. But all in all is in pretty good condition. I really enjoyed my visit with him. It was nice to just set and chat with the man. Oh, the other anvil was an Arm & Hammer. Didn't get pics of it. But here are a few of the old Peter Wright.
  17. NICE!! I love to set around a fire at night. Especially in the fall when the air is just starting to get a bit of a chill at night. :)
  18. Hey Fe-Wood. I am trying to keep the temper in check. Luckily, I'm friends with the local cop. He's keeping a log on everything that is happening with this guy. So I called him and he added this to the log, too. Someday the man will reap what he is sewing. :)
  19. WOW!!! Mick, you have definitely mastered the technique. Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing the pics with us.
  20. Just went out to get my wheel barrel, this morning, to spread some gravel that I had delivered to my driveway. The tire was flat and wouldn't take air. I took it apart and found a knife cut thru to the tube. This is the same wheel barrel that I used when installing my fortress fence. Fifteen years I've lived in this town and not one problem 'til the idiot next door moved in. I'm still considering the cannon ports!!!
  21. Hey Arean. I know all about pesky neighbors. Check out the post that I made earlier this year.
  22. Yeah, use a wire brush. Also, soak your item in vinegar for awhile and it will loosen up the scale. There was another thread on this same topic, just not too long ago. Do a forum search and you should be able to find that info. :)
