  3. hi john and all massey lovers yes it is very upseting when a old girl is scraped john did you get involved with the 2500 ton massey from cmi australia i got 6 masseys but one little 1cwt is going to a knew home and john i better order that sett of rings for the 1cwt i will email keep up the restos on the old girls some one has too moony

  10. hi too all we had a great hammer in, on, or so on . and no one got burnt or hurt thats the best an ye phill i need bigger brighter lights , but we could see ok i think Corin's cameras must have been on the wrong setting , and the snags cooked on the anvil where great the anvil is nearly finished , i got to grind the round horn an drill an drift the hardie hole an fix the feet , i will keep the anvil an use it, i always wanted a 2 horn anvil well to all that made it to get mohammered hope to see you next year an keep the fez on , it suits you phill to all get hammered
  11. hi john you dont no me but i am here in Australia , I a friend of female blacksmith its good to see the interest in the smithing is still trying to forge ahead lolo we here are hosting a gathereing on the last weekend in october here at my forge workshop we get about 30 or more attending we try to keep the spirit alive the trouble here in australia is its a big country an a lot of travel is needed to attend the forgein that are held but we try to offer as much forge time to all this year we are having a gas forge making demo by a registered gas fitter , and we will have tool making demos as well keep up the forge classes

  17. hello to you mr BIG RED i am very happy you have made your comments i also see it your way , there are a lot of very good hobbist smith in here that have been self taught an they often make mistakes but most are trying ,an thats a good thing m i agree that formal trade training is the best way to learn blacksmithing i have been in the blacksmithing game now from 1975 i did a formal trade as a industrial blacksmith at australia largest steel making plant it was the greatest place to learn but i was luck i also teach part time at a govenment college here in australia we still have a few colleges that have blacksmithing trade and ornamental blacksmith so if any of the ifi mwmwber want they can come over to australia an attend our colleges
