  4. Those couple of wraps of chain look cool, but also kill the ring. You may want to check for silicone under the anvil, and other methods to kill the ring of an anvil and take this into consideration when doing the ring test.
  5. The Blacksmith Guild combined the Guild of Wrought Ironwork Craftsmen of Wessex, and the Blacksmiths and Metalworkers Association of the South West in 2004 and making their home at Westpoint Showground near to Exeter in Devon. We would like to welcome The Blacksmith Guild, UK. 9. Ed has been moved to an assisted living home and the above posted addresses no longer work. I spoke with Ed last night by phone, and he requests to be put back on the prayer list. His is going to a wound care center to see if they can get his foot to heal. He is told that if the wound care center can not get the foot to heal, more of the foot (or leg) will need to be amputated. He send his best to all of your and requests your thoughts and prayers.

  18. The sound of a *good* weld in progress is very distinct.
  19. It makes one wonder why they make test instruments to detect electrical faults. Safety precautions are to insure you go home under your own power (and in one piece) at the end of the day.
  20. Let us cut through all the hype and provide some hard numbers on hand cranked blower prices. You know what you paid for YOUR hand cranked blower, help us build a data base. Please list the following information Brand (if available) Condition (Photo if it is available) Price paid and year Location and other details if you wish. As the number of hand cranked blowers posted increases, so will the data base. No more smoke and mirrors, no more hype, just REAL numbers.

  22. Be careful the grinder does not turn that into a flying projectile. A throwing star launched from the grinder into the leg (or where ever) can ruin your day. Work safely.
  23. You are most certainly welcome. My condolences to you and your family.
