Massive indoor striking anvil

Featured Replies

ok---maybe not---but darn handy !-----Over the years I have ended up with a number of pieces of RRR---a local shop gave me the "good guy discount" to mill the top flat. The smarter half uses it for jewelry and I have used it for dozens of "non-smith" chores. Downside for me---the 3rd generation family machine shop that milled it just closed their doors.

Geeee ... should have known better when I read the term "Massive" followed by the qualifier "indoor" ... I knew something was amiss.

I suppose you can call it gargantuan jewelry anvil for the kitchen table  :P

See below my portable forge :)

Some questions are better, NOT asked!!

The correct answer is, Yes Dear!!

Wasnt thinking-----when I had the rail head top milled-----should have also milled the bottom of the head as well----would have been nice for clamping.
