Hephaestus Smith
Hi Everyone, Ive heard people talking about Dogs head hammers, saying they are great for blade smithing, so i had a go at forging one. but to be honest, i didnt find it very good at all, it marks the work badly and the Peen is useless. maybe i did something wrong? Here are a few pics
TwistedCustoms
That's the only doghead hammer I've ever seen that I like! I could use one of those with my cats paw nail puller! Nice work!
Marc1
Yes, those nostrils and whiskers can sort of be in the way. Good for dogsturing the stock though.

I like dogs and hammers! The order depends on how my dogs are behaving and if I can get my hammer to do what I want.
JHCC
Now my coworkers are wondering why I'm laughing hysterically.
genesaika
@JHCC they probably just think you are crazy, it's ok. You mean to tell me that this dogshead hammer doesn't give you a nice texture? Dang.

genesaika
Just an average day then. I've personally trained my boss to accept that I talk to myself more than I do to him.
ThomasPowers
The proper hammer for when you have a piece of steel and just want to give it a lick with the hammer!

Greebe
That is a nice hammer. I am having a hard time figuring out why it does not work well for you though.
