September 3, 20178 yr My tattoo artist friend wanted to trade a card holder of some sort for some work. Heres what I came up with. Kinda a combo of forging and sculpture. I used his hand holding an old school tattoo gun as a model plan on him leaning buisiness cards up against it or perhaps a small separated card holder to go in front. Anyway, it was fun
September 4, 20178 yr SWEET, I LIKE it 58er! Now all your tatooist needs do is make a card with tatoo text to lay under it. How much tatooing is this going to get you? Pics! Provided they're suitable for a family site of course. Frosty The Lucky.
September 4, 20178 yr 58er, very nice proportioned hand, lifelike pose, and nice finish! I would love to be able to forge something like that.......Good job!
September 4, 20178 yr VERY Nice Hand !!! I have no Idea how to set it up to hold card though maybe something on the end ????
September 4, 20178 yr Very cool hand sculpture. It deffinately needs something else added to it to hold cards tho. Is that tattoo gun staying with the sculpture? Perhaps make a tattoo gun where the top part holds the cards. That would look cool and not hide the sculpture by leaning cards against it.
September 4, 20178 yr Author Thanks guys Decided on separate card holder which can be used with or without hand sculpture. Yes. Gun would be staying
September 4, 20178 yr The more I think about it the more I think a simple tray for cards under the gun would be attractive. Make it look like the cards are being tatooed and it invites people to touch the sculpture. I try to encourage folks to braille forgings there is just so much more than just looks. Frosty The Lucky.
September 5, 20178 yr Author I like the idea of the tray. Ive started next job but I will whip out a little card tray and give him both. Thanks for the idea Frosty. This is why this site is great.
September 8, 20178 yr YEP that card holder Go's with the hand simple Good Idea !!! Looks like it belongs there to
September 9, 20178 yr lots of info about it on the net. Just a suggestion to push an over the top design a nanometer higher.
September 9, 20178 yr Lot's of cool ways to etch. On occasion I've seen enameling that looked like it was silk screened. I wonder if it'd be feasible to use masks and plate with different metals for a silk screened effect. Hmmmmm. Frosty The Lucky.
