Jimmy Wallbanger
Found a monkey wrench in the scrap pile if its handle is forged could I beat it into something useful ? The adjustment nut is rusted away.

Glenn
Rust can be cleaned up. Those make nice twisting wrenches.
VaughnT
Metal can be moved in amazing ways, but it's best to keep the finished design close to what you started with. For example, while you could hammer it into a piece of 1/2" round stock, the time and energy burned on the project would far outweigh the cost of buying a length of new round stock. If the adjustment nut is rusted tight, try soaking it in vinegar for a few days.

Ridgewayforge
Think of an object as close to the shape of the current material, as it is easiest to use stock that is close to the desired outcome, in order that as little forging as possible can be done on it. Frosty
Very cool Postleg. You've shown some of these to us before haven't you? Pipe wrenches would make fine carnosaurs, say alosaurous, T Rex, raptors, etc. Big jaws, gnarley teeth, claws and it's . . . Oooh scary! Frosty The Lucky.
