Alec.S
hi all..... this is my latest project. It is Forged steel, copper nails and oak. It is entitled " Prayers for Peace "..... I made this for a competition at my school..... Comments a critique welcome! This is my first proper sculpture! It was made out of 3mm x 100mm flat..... hot cut of course! and bent... The oak is about 6 inches wide and 12 inches long and 2 1/2 inches high... It was beautiful wood! The copper nails are hammered through an appropriately sized hole and into a much tighter one in the oak. The oak was cut and planed by hand a then went progressively down from from 60 grit to 1200 grit to shavings to hands!!! here is a link for the photos.. http://s821.photobucket.com/albums/zz134/AlecSteele/Prayers%20for%20Peace/ alec

Frosty
I like it a lot Alec. I don't know what it'll do to your grade but the name fits it like a glove. I really like how you played the shadow to double the sculpture in the background. slick, very slick. Frosty the Lucky.
