Dillon Sculpture
A couple swings we made to support a 200+ year oak. Three 5/8" round bar twisted with an old hand held electric pipe threader. 1/4" plate textured to look like wood for the seats.

yea3114u
Very well done. Is this at a park etc. or on private property? And yeah I would be the one to run towards it and jump on only to find it doesn't swing

bigfootnampa
Those are really neat looking! I wonder if that oak really feels slightly smothered though... I mean you know after over 200 years it probably feels like it is past the training wheels stage!
Dillon Sculpture
I guess they could always lop them off and burn em, interesting to think what shade the canopy has cast in the past.
pkrankow
I guess they could always lop them off and burn em, interesting to think what shade the canopy has cast in the past. Trees don't heal well from having large limbs removed. All my reading on tree care recommends not removing limbs over 4 inches unless already dead. Since the limb feeds the trunk, a portion of the trunk may die from removing a larger limb. Phil
