Leg iron, ball and chain
- Pirate chest
Good afternoon guys, at first i wish u merry and peaceful Christmas time. My last crafted piece is an pirate chest. Its necessary to say that theres no blacksmith work. Its just about cutting, grinding, assembling and welding pieces together. I would like to say that this chest moved my craft skills forward. It took me cca 12 hours till i finished it. Wood is spruce stained with palisander and steel parts are painted with "hammer-colour" (thats how we call it here "kladivková farba"). Hinges are made from bolt with two nuts, easy, cheap and functionally solution. i hope u will like it. It was my Christmas present for parents. They love it, who knows why, its looking good or just because their son made it. :-D Its up to you. For these days, your young craftsman Viktor ;) PS: Later ill upload more photos of details ;) now i have to go wish Merry Christmas to rest of my family.- Cross with Jesus
I am really glad that u like it, it means lot for me. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas ;)- Cross with Jesus

- Christmas present - bottle opener/corkscrew
Hey guys, after a longer time am back with an new project. Its my first corkscrew that i´ve ever made. Before i start, its necessary to say that i am just an amateur fan blacksmith, but i need to hear critique from you guys. Even if it will be negative, i need to hear it. Critique can improve my self-access to do things better. (grammar like a boss :-D). I made it for an old guy living in my village that gave me 100 kg coal for free. Cockscrew is made from two different type of steel. Handle is forged from piece of steel that been used as reinforcement of truck bumper (Skoda Liaz). Screw is made from car spring (bmw 7). After i´ve finished the handle, i drilled it over and sticked the screw into. Welded from other side, clened up with angle grinder and again placed into a forge. For finishing, i used an polishing paste and drill with polishing extension. I hope you´ll like it. Viktor- Swampy coffee table

Hey guys, i have an oportunity to buy this anvil but i need an advise. Weight is something between - 65-70kg, price 100 € +-(its important to say am just beginner and amateur blacksmith) .check the picture wheres the anvil from the side, i have a suspiction of damaged hanging end/heel. What do u think? is this just an surface defect or something more serious? ( is it possible to weld it? or somehow repair if its truly damaged?) the second part of topic is oriented about anvils face. its little damaged but i think its not that huge mistake. (maybe welder and angle grinder should help). Anyway am going to check this anvil at saturday. Thanks for advises. Buy or not? How to repair face properly?
