  1. From the album: Hammers

After incessant begging, Old n Rusty prevailed to get a hammer made in his name....but he has to take it in standard shop colors
  2. FieryFurnance is an excellent example for younger people today.......some are willing to work at it and can be taught. Keep it up FF.
  3. You have the right to remain silent......................please do. -_-
  4. ptree....thank you for your responses in this thread....best short answers to electricity questions I've seen. Even I understood it and as everyone knows...that's not easy. Tip 'o da Hat to ya!!
  5. I use peanut oil in a 7 gallon metal barrel with lid for anything needing an oil quench. Soy oil should work just fine. During the colder months, I put the barrel on top of the woodstove to heat up. On Summer's Day, no need to prewarm it.
  6. Soon??? No pics...it didn't happen.....
  7. yeah, jimmy....if jeremy keeps at it he'll eventually get better......... -_-
  8. I tried, I really did, not to post on this thread, but the temptation is too great. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. I'm forcing myself to keep it short....."REBAR" !!!!!!!!
  9. oops...3 others just arrived/......
  10. It is 2130, February 4 2012......and I am in the CHAT.....albeit by myself at the moment..........
  11. you got diamonds.......she got hands.......case solved....or we can deal in copper roses
  12. hey...refine that design and put a 3 carat diamond in the middle...you'll be golden for a month..maybe....otherwise, I have some copper roses ready to go somewhere, but we'll need to talk
  13. depends on the grade of steel how much color there actually will be
  14. actually, with the mass and size of a fork lift tine, you don't need to shape it like a London pattern anvil...you need a short straight section, a rounded over edge, a sharp edge about 3" long, and mostly a solid structure that won't dance when you hammer on it.
  15. if you understand what Rich said, you're years ahead of other novices. I read this thread a few times before I decided not to comment further because I don't know what you two are talking about.
