  1. Nice work right there.....Cool
  2. Nice job. Handle finish is great.
  3. 1 Aus $ = .88 US$ so I'd agree on the pricey part.....But if there are no anvils around he likely will get what he's asking. Sad but true.
  4. Good work for firsts. Keep them coming!
  5. Nice job for a first. Plenty of info on HT in Knife making lessons and heat treat stickies. Keep at it! We want to see more!
  6. 15N20 and 1095 approx. 90 layers ladder cut. Guard of Nickel Nilver with NS and black fibre micarta spacers. East Indian Rosewood handle. Thanks for looking!
  7. Cool patterns........Nice work Steve. Will we get to see finished blades????
  8. Welcome to the darkside....You'll never look back now. Plenty of knowledge and skill hiding in this site. Use it well and you will get much better quickly! Have fun and be safe!
  9. On monosteel blades I forge the bevels in as well. On a pattern weld I usually forge to shape if I can without distorting pattern too much and then grind bevels. Does this make sense?
  10. Forged to profile then ground. Thanks guys.
  11. Poor image quality but it will be gone to new home before I can get better pics. Thanks for looking.
  12. When I use a file for forging I anneal then grind teeth off before forging. This may help eliminate stress risers as well. 1/8" spine width is not too thin IMHO. Make for a good slicer. Darren
  13. That thing's not messing around!
