    Exactly, it's probably because of the torque of an electric motor is higher than I thought a 2-3 HP motor was equivalent to a 5 HP gas engine

    I found the specs of my pump, it's a 5 hp I was on the believe that a electric motor is stronger than a gas engine hp for hp... Anyway, I will stop doing my cheapstake and buy a 5 hp motor

    Question to those who have tested. When a 2 stages pump mentions 13 hp or 8 hp, does this necessarily require such an engine? On my press made from a log splitter I had a 2hp engine and the pump seems to be a truck power steering. I can not do the analogy of the specs of the pump but it is powerful and fast. Put a motor 2-3 hp on a pump that asks 5 hp will like effect? Slower flow? Thank you.

    After making a hole in my forge floor with Borax, I try to have a bullet proof solution! What do you think of the idea of putting a ceramic tile between wool and kast-o-lite? Or a soft / hard firebrick? I take your suggestions. Thank you ! ... Maybe I had not made my layer of kast-o-lite quite thick, see the damage.

    Today I pushed the forge to the maximum. The 2 burners at 30psi with borax in good quantity. I made a small crevice and a hole in my Kast-O-Lite. The problem comes from the use or I misapplied the product?
