  1. Another request for help to identify this one. I do not have it yet. It weighs 115 #, and it's a style that makes me say it is pre-1900. She have a broken nose... Just from the pictures, do you have an idea?
  2. I ordered one ! I'll give you feedback later.
  3. J'ai vu ce modèle au Québec,... Forge du Village à Granby. Toi, où l'as tu acheté ?
  4. The tail was cut and the feet too. I think it's a MouseHole. Your opinion ? The rebound is 60%, the face is usable ...
  5. I'm not sure if the Amazon's link will be removed but : [Yep, it got removed.] If you Google Sunlar 110V 250W US Style Electric Blacksmith Forge Blower , Centrifugal Barbecues blower, it's the first out !
  6. I did my researches but I didn't find on the subject... It seems good for the price,... the reviews are good, as this one : «I got this blower a couple weeks ago and have forged with it a few times since then. It will definitely work for your average blacksmith using coal. I’m using it to replace a champion 400 hand crank and it outperforms that despite a lower CFM rating. Unless you’re running an enormous forge this will produce enough air for you. At the highest setting it will almost blow the fire out of the fire pot. Speaking of power, I’d highly highly recommend this blower be installed with an electric variable speed control. Properly tuned in, it will just maintain the fire and be literally silent at the lowest level. You could use a blast gate or just the choke on the blower itself, but I think you’re sacrificing performance if you do. I struck one star from this review because despite being cast aluminum the blower feels fairly cheap, and I’m not sure how long it will last. The impeller and motor inside are slightly under engineered compared to squirrel cage fans in the same price range, but the upside of choosing this is that you’re getting an actual centrifugal blower instead of a fan. I’ll see how long it lasts, but right now it works well and I’m happy with the purchase. This is the cheapest real forge blower on the internet as far as I know.» Somebody on IFI tried it ?? It sells for less than $100 USD. ( $189 Cnd) Thanks.
  7. Nothing fancy, but a 10# sledge at a very good !
  8. Great job ! Lot of ideas for me. Thanks.
  9. 50kg = 110#. It's not mine, I arrived a little late. Someone in the same FB group bought it. Branco, you're right ! But is it only the distributor or the maker too ? http://www.branco.cz/anvil-bulgarian.htm
  10. Hi, I bet that's a Czech copy. Does the logo is know by someone ? Thanks !
  11. End of the first sentence.... It was there ! Anyway, you made me realize that I don't have the right wheel,....
  12. I wrote it in the first post, Andy Alm facebook @AndyAlmDesigns I found on his FB page that he used, 14 inches, 60 grit aluminum oxide wheel made by SAIT... so I think that my project won't work.
  13. Ok... so Andy doesn't use natural stone, because he runs at 1100 RPM... ?!?
  14. I got hold of these two wheels, one of 11 inches, the other of 18 inches. I also have a 1 inch shaft mounted on 2 bearing pillow block. I want to do the Andy Alm's set-up. My first test made me realize that the wheel was spinning too fast and that the center was not perfectly centered, which made the wheel bump and gave a lot of virbrations. To hold the wheel I turn on the lathe 2 bushing from hockey puck. What are your tips for centering and balancing the wheel? the
  15. Built a little striking block from scrap H-beam and a RR track. 110# total weight.
  16. Finally, I got it !.... Larger holes and more power in the air line. The fan was too weak... I'll start a new thread and stop hijacking the NARB one...
  17. An other one...
  18. I removed the valve on the air line. I added a neddle valve on the gas line. I am able to have a bright orange forge at 15psi but it is not yellow. To get a few more degrees of heat is it that I put my jet of gas farther to mix in the tube longer would help? Also my holes in the casting are made with straws. To enlarge slightly to remove some restriction would that help too ? Thank you
  19. Now i have to find a large grinding stone !
  20. I removed the Mig Tip and I got a better result. With a needle valve, I think that I have it ! Thanks everyone.
