  1. Thanks again. I supposed that the problem was with the jet size. I'll start from there.
  2. Thanks a lot. I will look at that one thing a the time.
  3. Here's my set-up : pipe 3/4... gaz jet Wig-Tip 0.35. For the air, I have a lot of restriction to pass 2inches to 3/4 but too much air seems the problem, so... I don't think that's the problem. I already put a pic of the burner, it's 6 X 2 inches with 15 holes.
  4. I am very disappointed by my first results. The burner is fine but don't have power..., better than a BBQ but not much better. My fan is a small fireplace blower, I have a valve for the air inlet. For gas, it's a 0.35 MIG tip. If I want to change one thing at a time, which part should I watch first ? I will put a picture of the setup in a few minutes.
  5. They are square ??? LoL !!!
  6. Thank you Frosty Yes I have a little blower of fieplace to run the burner. I will lightly drill over the holes and lower the air volume to a minimum. I will add photos later.
  7. I just finished assembling my ribbon burner. At a low pressure of gas and air, small flames form well. When I increase the pressure, the setting gives a flame a little soft and without a great velocity... and if I add a little more air, the burner blows out. Is it possible that my holes are too small? By drilling them bigger, would it give me a margin of adjustment?
  8. I just bought mine with a 8 inch. contact wheel. I'm going to put a 2hp engine with stepped pulley on the engine and the grinder. That should give me 6 speeds. I will put pictures later. I want to highlight the excellent customer service at Coote. Thank you Norm!
  9. I trade this little one for 3 bottles of wine... It will be my first Gunther repair attempt....
  10. Just finished it today !
  11. I'm in Canada it's 1.35x the US price....
  12. lol ! I ask for the maker. I try to put together some info about the logo of differents makers. I know that i should buy the Richard Postman's book, instead of asking.... but it's 135$ !
  13. Any idea about this one ?
  14. To evaluate the price and the condition there is no problem. I used TPAAAT quite often! In this case it is really the curiosity to know the maker.... Personally I guess it's a Mousehole or Wilkinson
  15. John_zxz is a friend of mine. It's been 2 days that we browse the web to identify it. Nobody has a clue ?
  16. I began to explain to him and he flushes his post... Another desperate cause that wants likes more than real advice.
  17. that's was I think.... but i hurt the feelings of the kid when I said that isn't (maybe) an efficient forge....
  18. I just use fire brick... good enough !
  19. A guy posted that on a local FB group. He asked for advice... I'm speechless... How tell him something positive about his built ?
  20. It's finished since a long time. The video show it.
