Today i made the brackets for the hood to bolt on to the forge table. I was going make the blower mount but ran out of time:mad: More updates Wednsday.

I`am not attaching the vise to it that was for the orignal idea of building it for a portable forge.
No it can be mild steel. Their is a thread here that Is named something like Cast Vs mild steel firepot , which tells a lot of good info.
Thats when i was planning to use it as a portable forge.

Well, we got the bench for my drill press, belt sander, bench grinder , and 4.5 grinders under and porta band done. Also The eltrication is coming Tjursday or Friday . This weekend in We are going get the roof on Hopefully .
I now have the new firepotdone ( weld the band around it this morning) I just gotta add some braces under the table and wel the hood brackets to the hood and make the blower mount.
I will post pics ASAP.
I use a metal tool box I bought at Homedepot. Its "dimond plate looking" I paid like $20.00 for it. I plan to build a tool "chest" this winter for demos.

I my self would use 1.5" SQ stock ( it would be easier to work with rather than round because of punching & drifting the eye) Rt did a webcam with me on making hammers. I orderwed 4140 and made a blank , i havent got too work on it yet. I plan on making my first hammer when my shop is done.

I `am not sure on the RR part I ve never heard o fthat. Nice anvil though. Have good rebound? I`d wire brush it off my self though ( make it look beter (get that paint off)
