Hey! That picture you inquired about is me. It was taken about 15 years ago on an original CW period camera using a glass plate negative. I was born and raised in Gettysburg so I guess I had Civil War in my blood. Heck, I found a handful of dropped three ring bullets in my back yard! Drop me a line if your in the G-burg neighborhood again!

That's me taken about 15 years ago on an oringinal CW era camera. That's the glass plate photo. The uniform is a union officer's kit and the star on jacket was the unofficial Corps badge of the 14th Corps in 1864. It changed later on.

That looks like a CW era picture on your profile! Is that you in a dressed up photo, or an original?
Looks like maybe a Texas volunteer outfit to me? What's the story? I'm a big CW fan, and did reenacting the last several years ending with Gettysburg 2010!

I started loading'em up and taking them home in stages....that's a lotta weight! Most of these have the "HC" on their heads so I see t-hawks, knives, and all sorts of tools and the like in the future. :)

The weather here in SoCentral PA finally made the turn towards fair weather allowing me the chance to go for a walk in the woods behind my work. What do I find? Two large piles of railroad spikes. Each pile consists of roughly 200 spikes and various other pieces of RR iron. I talked to the boss about'em and told him that I'd get rid of'em and he asked if I needed a work truck to do it. SCORE! :lol:
