    on this site http://countryantiquefurniture.co.uk/industrial.php about 5 items down is an anvil for sale with a big square piece that looks to be missing. just curious if there is a purpose that is known for it. also on down the page is a 3 cwt anvil with stand that looks Awesome! lol

    I know a guy who just got some from there, he seems to like it ok. I'm gonna buy a few bags from him in a couple weeks. Will report back when I use it.

    I've seen it done by using some 5/8 copper rod, what he did was to cut into the bar to make leaves on each side then drew out the center to the thickness of the stem then attached the petals to make the rose. it's been like two years since i saw it so i hope that makes sense.

    that is a shame , shipping would definitely not work either just had a 65 lbs swage block shipped to me and it cost 48 bucks from fed ex!

    thanks Mark, it will have to wait a while do to other projects ahead of this one... I do need a portable forge for demos and such, but I want a pump handle style one. don't know why but i really like those...

    Hey guys, I picked up this forge a couple of weeks ago for 50 bucks and i was curious what it would cost in other areas of the US. the blower is in great shape and turns freely. I think i could resale this one after a little clean up for around a 125. but not sure of the current costs here in South Carolina.

    I forgot to mention Grace Fuel Company in Asheville NC< they have stoker coal that does well for me, its not great stuff but you can forge weld with it and not much clinker, its good enough for me :-p I think there about a half hour from kane and sons...
