February 9, 20251 yr Does anybody know the folks at Majestic Forge? I believe the owner’s name is Bryan Horn. I just sold my forge because I was planning to buy one of his but I’m seeing reports on another forum that people are having trouble contacting them. I’m not looking to spam the guy or get into his issues with other customers, I’m just wondering if he’s still doing business.
February 10, 20251 yr Good Morning, Send him an email and ask. It is always better to ask straight up. Neil
February 12, 20251 yr I ordered a Majestic forge on dec 27th... according to website 3-5 weeks to deliver.... its feb12th and i have not heard anything from them... ive called and emailed 100 times... they took my 500$ though of course
February 20, 20251 yr Author No response to my FB message. It doesn't sound like anybody is seeing answers to their emails.
April 21, 20251 yr I ordered one on Feb 4th 2025. I have tried to contact him with no success. Now the phone lines don't seen to work.
April 22, 20251 yr I hate to say it but one really good way to get a vender's attention is to reverse the charge. They've taken your money they are under contractual obligation to fulfill their end within a reasonable period. Have you sent them a certified demand letter rather than email, text, etc.? It's too easy to just "not see" emails, phone calls, FB messages, etc. Having to sign for a letter on the other hand is legal evidence in court. Perhaps a swift kick in the pants might be what turns the company around. I HOPE it's not on a one way street. Frosty The Lucky.
August 8, 2025Aug 8 Public Service Announcement – Important Customer Update If you have recently placed an order with the company under its current owner, Bryan Horn, and have not received your product, if it were me, I would dispute the charge right away through your credit card company, PayPal, or other payment provider. Unfortunately, Bryan is no longer responding to customer inquiries. We do not want anyone left without their order or a refund. To clarify: We are currently working with our attorney to regain control of the business assets. We do not have access to past customer payments or the ability to ship orders placed under Bryan’s ownership. Even after the transition is complete, we will not be able to fulfill previous orders, as those transactions were not made with us. We are still in the legal process of reclaiming the business. While there is no confirmed reopening date, our goal is to relocate the business to Alabama and resume operations under new ownership as soon as possible. Updates will be shared as progress is made. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this transition.
August 9, 2025Aug 9 The Majestic Forge website contains the following notice: Quote Our original owner, Marlana Walls, along with her son-in-law, Mark, and daughter, Heather Lindsey, are reclaiming ownership of the company. We’re working closely with legal advisors to finalize this transition.
August 9, 2025Aug 9 Looks like Majestic has some issues, their public service announcement contradicts aspects of their web page. Makes me wonder how far legal actions will go. There were certainly a lot of of orders not filled and money disappeared to make for an interesting outcome. Frosty The Lucky.
August 9, 2025Aug 9 Indeed and hopefully with a return to . . . the old owners and business plan they'll update the forge to something closer to current than the 1970s. Frosty The Lucky.

After all, Diamond back finally updated parts of their design. However, all these businesses seem to have a complete blind spot about their sadly out of date burners...
August 9, 2025Aug 9 That would be nice but they make equipment for people who practice a craft a couple thousand years old and tend to go on about tradition. Why change what works? I'm sure you remember when everybody KNEW you couldn't weld in a naturally aspirated propane forge. <sigh> Frosty The Lucky.
August 11, 2025Aug 11 Ugh!!! I hear you, and obviously do not care a fig about what such dummies 'think.' They were all wrong clear back in kindergarten an they are all wrong still. I admitted to being a blockhead too. But people who never learn a darn thing are a mystery to behold. On the other hand, it is a comfort to know that I'm not trailing the pack
August 11, 2025Aug 11 I don't know how many people I made really angry once they figured out what I actually said or it was explained to them. "We learn from our mistakes and some folk never make mistakes." or alternately "some have never made a mistake." One of the things I loved about the forum is how hard it was to be wrong and not get called on it. Being "right" is perishable, things change and being right only lasts till something righter shows up. I can't blame Majestic for making what the customer wants. Why fix what isn't broken if the user likes it that way? What bums me out, is Volcano Forge stopped making and selling and they had NICE modern burners. <sigh> Talking to one of the brothers who subscribed to IFI, forges and burners were just a free time sideline in a CNC production factory and while they sold well there wasn't enough margin for 2 of the 3 brothers to vote yea, so when inventory was gone that was it. Poof, smoke on the wind. Frosty The Lucky.
August 13, 2025Aug 13 Well I’m sure glad I stumbled upon this post was seriously thinking about ordering a majestic forge but guess that won’t happen anytime soon
August 13, 2025Aug 13 Propane forges were reviewed and vetted by the gang here a while ago. Hopefully the threads are still available under the Forges 101 sub category of Propane Forges as found in the site "table of contents?" The IFI front page scroll down till you find it. Frosty The Lucky.

August 16, 2025Aug 16 I'm all for new ideas but at my age I let the yungsters do the field testing, I don't heal as fast as I used to. I do my best to prevent Darwin Award type experiments but . . . Frosty The Lucky.
August 16, 2025Aug 16 My last Darwin awards were over four decades back. These days my old body serves up Murphy awards It's all good; just rolling along...
August 16, 2025Aug 16 I've filed many an application myself, the last in 07 IIRC. Happily they weren't accepted by higher and I'm still here. I don't believe someone is qualified for a Darwin Award unless they died of their own stupidity. The hold my beer watch this, crowd. Of course, Murphy is always with us. Here's a thought for you. Perhaps our applications for a Darwin Award have been denied because even Fate is subject to Murphy. Hmmm? Frosty The Lucky.
August 16, 2025Aug 16 The level of error needed for which the big "D" is handed out simply depends on the job we choose. I have always suffered from a low boredom threshold. Fortunately there are always jobs that the sane amongst us flee from. I was never out of work These days the garden is about all I get to play in. Kathy has had over half a century to learn all my tricks, and head me off at the pass
August 16, 2025Aug 16 My reply to un approved Darwin applications is. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Deb keeps trying to arrange things SHE thinks I'll find fun. She's never really forgiven me for the Great White . . . Birch incident. BOY did she have words when I took that saw to the shop and got it running and tuned again. I only did a little brushing, nothing but tag alder and some small birch and willow. I ended up trading it to the fellow we hired to clear a fire zone around the house. It was a good trade for both of us, he allowed us $400 off the bill and he got an oldish newly overhauled Stihl 035 with a 20" bar, extra bar and maybe 5 chains, file, etc. He was surprised in my cutting bag, I didn't carry a can of gas, bottle of bar oil, etc. when I was cutting I carried a couple hours worth of gas, oil, chain and tools in a bright orange and yellow shoulder carry bag. The drink pockets were perfect, I took a 20oz. water bottle of mix gas and a smaller one of bar oil in the pockets and hung the bag on something out of the way when I was cutting. What got me back then was forgetting Dad's old warning, "Familiarity Breeds Contempt." I'd felled probably tens of thousands of trees with nothing but not very near misses and got overconfident. That tree went B A D so fast I didn't have a chance. Darwin Award Denied, mostly due to our Great Pyrenees mountain dog, Libby. We'd rescued her from frankly criminally abusive owner who found out that a pyr pup typically sold in the $1,500 range and decided to cash in. Without ANY idea how to raise dogs let alone breed them properly. When we picked her up she was chained to a chain link fence in reach of 3 intact males, one her own pup and a German Shepard Dog. He demanded we sign a non-breed agreement which we did instantly while he was going on and on about how valuable pups are, blah blah blah. He also went to some length about how hard she was to handle, she was always snapping at him and his wife. He recommended carrying a stout stick or use the shocker collar he'd gladly sell us for way more than one cost at the time. MORONS Deb opened the rear window of the 4 door Saturn we had at the time and I told the X owner to open the gate. He got all excited telling me he'd get the shocker and clubs. I told him if he even waved one at MY dog I'd have him charged with assault. At his own station, he was a cop. I walked into the pen with all those vicious dogs, up to Libby, unhooked the chain from her collar and walked her out the gate with a light hand on the collar. The ex owner's Cop wife came screeching at us waving a bat. Libby lunged out of my grasp and ran straight to our car and jumped in the back seat. Deb closed the door and soothed Libby through the open front door. We hadn't gotten off their property before Deb had animal control on the phone filing a report. She told them would be available for further comments at our Vet's office as we were taking her in right NOW to get a vet check and evaluated. Mr. and Mrs. law enforcement officer, public employee. failed puppy mill operators didn't enjoy the attention or publicity. Deb and I didn't know about the pit of puppy bodies behind the fence on the other side of the kennel. They not only made the papers but the evening news and being cops even made CNN. Sorry for the side track but Libby is who saved my life the day I got clocked by the tree. She went ballistic barking and hitting the fence to knock it down. Deb herd the dire emergency barking while watching either TV or a video online and came out to see what the problem was. We were raising African Pygmy goats and feral dogs were always a problem so when you heard THAT kind of barking you checked. All the dogs were looking down the driveway and barking hard she looked and somehow I'd crawled out of the woods, only maybe 50' but I was a seriously busted up bleeding mess. Fortunately there is a fire station, #61 maybe 3 miles and 4 minutes lights and sirens from our place. They got me stabilized, took me to Goose Lake Elementary where there was room to land a life flight helicopter and threatened the engines flying me to Anchorage and brand spanking new head trauma ward at Providence hospital. I was the second customer, missed #1 by something like 7 minutes. Drug induced coma, multiple brain surgeries by the doctor who designed and oversaw the ward and danged if I didn't survive. I was kept in a coma for 10days - 2 weeks it was a couple few more weeks before I sort of came out of where ever I was. Within a few days almost everybody involved in saving me stopped by to see me awake and talking. The flight nurse is the one I remember best, he told me I'd flat lined 3 times on the flight and the EMTs restarted me on the short ride to the helicopter. As long as that was it's only part of the story, I left out the # of broken bones, internal injuries, cuts, abrasions, generally whole left side bruise. If we ever meet I'll show you the dent in my head. Anyway, I spared you several more pages. You're welcome. Darwin Award denied. Deb did relent a couple years ago and let me buy a smaller chainsaw, it's one handed rechargeable with maybe a 4" bar. Got me a pair of rechargeable pruning shears too. It's a nice level of tree cutting. I still can't help but start planning how I'd fell a problem tree but I don't have a chainsaw or the desire anymore. Frosty The Lucky.
August 16, 2025Aug 16 Sounds like you had a a low boredom threshold problem too. Come now, admit it; you never thought you'd have to deal with living this long ether, did you? I always assumed 45 would be my limit...who knew, right? It's a kick If only we'd known, and all that jazz.
August 17, 2025Aug 17 HAD? Never in a million years did I think I'd live long enough for the parts to start wearing out. Now that they are I have to slow down but the boredom remains! Of course it's fun when the voices get excited but when they stop. . . <sigh> Any idea how many things you prayed your parents wouldn't find out about? There was the time 2 friends and I got somebody excited enough to sound the air raid sirens and black out the San Fernando valley. I came rolling in about the time everything went dark. Sat down to a dark dinner and Dad askes, "What do you think THAT'S all about." Mother, Mom, Shannon all started speculating but Dad just stared at me with a cocked eyebrow. To which I responded "I dunno." "Uh HUH, think they've learned their lesson?" Mumble mumble mumble. We were actually careful enough none of the thermite experiments got away from us. Bored? Who ME?
