I really enjoy making knives so far. This will be where I post some of the ones that I make and hopefully I'll get criticism and see progress as i go

This one is 1/8" 1084, micarta & 3/16 g10 pins.

It's not finished yet but this one will be; The shovel V2 :rolleyes:PSX_20210416_110700.thumb.jpg.a3a85b84f90eba8e701bc5577f056a62.jpgPSX_20210416_111147.thumb.jpg.87dbdfb3a95ee7d7e68230465ffccfc8.jpgPSX_20210416_110845.thumb.jpg.f6096038894a1f7867be5101bf8fdb25.jpgPSX_20210416_110927.thumb.jpg.9db2385e44a81d768763405203842693.jpg

That's a very nice little blade, WRLD. I had a couple of minor criticisms of some small details, but on looking more closely, I realized that what I'd seen as flaws were actually problems with the photos. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you!

Some of my photos don't like downsizing I'm noticing.

That's a beautiful blade! Not to many knives made in that pattern!

Thank you people for the compliments!

Fresh out of the oven  Canola oil makes some pretty colors if you don't get it all off before tempering. PSX_20210423_204512.thumb.jpg.541ce96c3bd054cc061f3f65357efe23.jpg

Roo, My shop rooster was curious as to if what I was making was edible, big nope!PSX_20210501_143442.thumb.jpg.b7be2724b02a0026c1c07a0f9254684b.jpg

He's pretty happy to be included though..

Today's progress on a blade for a buddy

A little forge scale won't do him any harm provided it's not some high alloy steel.

Dont tell him that  he already gets much to close to the forge while it's running.

One of the bigger knives that I'm working on is almost ready for some epoxy.

I read that a blade should be "almost sharp" before you grind the final micro bevel, Guess who cut themselves on their "almost sharp" knife today

One of my favorite parts of making knives is taking photos of them when they are finished :rolleyes:IMG_20210516_171728_800.thumb.jpg.f058218c893d935deb6ee89834be6ebf.jpg

Yes. I used a battery charger, stencil, salt water. To etch my makers mark in that photo. My bad, I should have been more clear

Thank you Rojo! I've finished one of them so far. PSX_20210602_144944.thumb.jpg.91e43dde52466bd0971bdb238bec9b9c.jpg

Completed my first knife of 2022

1084, Micarta scales.  I'm not completely happy with how high I let my grind lines get but I feel like I'm getting more consistent.PSX_20220117_185252.thumb.jpg.ef8356c7e080eb65c0873e588e49ceb3.jpg

This one is a lot like one of the first knives that I ever made. It just works a lot better though.

1084, orange g10, black g10 pins, kydex sheath with probably to many rivets*
