Evergreennj
This one doesn’t appear to have any markings on it. Weighs roughly 300 pounds.
ThomasPowers
I'd go with Peter Wright; weight markings would be in CWT if you could read them.
Evergreennj
Thanks. Curious, how can you tell?
Chelonian
The flats on the feet of a forged anvil usually indicate that it's a Peter Wright. It could also be a Henry wright (They had a similar shape and had the flats on the feet) but Peter Wrights are more common.
Evergreennj
Appreciate the feedback guys. I’m looking to sell this anvil, any recommendations? I notice the site does not have a classifieds section. No luck on FB.
Glenn
The site does have a Tailgating / buy / sell section. Put your for sale items there.
ThomasPowers
Contacting the local ABANA affiliate or using Craigslist can help you sell it locally if you don't want to mess with shipping. I recently sold a 248# Peter Wright on CraigsList for the nearest city.
Andrew C
Just curious, how much are you asking?
Steve Sells
you want to pay for shipping from NJ too? lol must be hard up for an anvil look for his post in tailgating
ThomasPowers
Maybe idle curiosity, or trying to see how prices vary across the USA.
Andrew C
Mostly curious because I have seem prices out here in AZ and they seem certifiably insane for trying to sell junk at $8/lb. No, I'm not interested in having one shipped from NJ. LOL
ThomasPowers
Don't forget the difference between asking price and selling price. I see a lot of folks that seem to be pricing anvils using asking price data and then they sit for months...
