First of all, I'm new here, so I apologize in advance if I'm posting in the wrong section. But I've seen a lot of (guesses) thrown out there about what type of steel these are made of, so I found a list of the properties. Now I'm not familiar in this area, so I'll just let someone else answer that. But here's a screenshot of it.

Hope this helps.Screenshot_20190327-225635.thumb.png.ccfa94484f64f3d51cdcbc2081204d51.png

Not too helpful without knowing which manufacturer and which type (and how to ID them...) as they come in differing types even from the same manufacturer.

I forgot to I'D the manufacturer, but if it helps, they looked just like these.

As I recall those come in 40 to 60 points C varieties; (your spec is for an upper end version).  *MUCH* better than RR Spikes for items needing hardening; still a bit low for edge holding.

The spec sheet says 56-64 pts. Points Carbon are 1/100th % each. So 56 pts = .56%

Not so hot for edge holding but I like them for hatchets, hawks, etc. as well as jobs that need tough springy  say pry bar, rock chisel, etc.

I made one into a small raising hammer:

yup, good for hammers

Thinking about it on a long drive yesterday got me to thinking about forge welding a couple, few with some 15n20 for pattern and having the coolest: pry, wrecking, speed, etc. bar on ANY job.

Looks pretty close to 9260. I like to use them for tomahawks.
